On Friday, Lulu and I drove down to the Greenwood Community Center for their Toddler Open Gym time. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday the gym is open from 8:30-11am for Toddlers and their parents to come climb around on the toys and equipment they have set out.
All of the equipment is age appropriate and really fun for the baby learning to walk and climb and crawl. All of the toys are on top of mats. You can imagine that Lulu and I really appreciated this since she’s pretty much a super star daredevil who won’t be held back by gravity!
The Greenwood Community Center is located at . The cost of admission is $1 for Greenwood residents (proof of residency required) or $2 for non-residents. The cost is only applicable for children, “supervising adults” are free and all children are required to be supervised at all times. There are no designated staff members of GCC in this area at all. The fee is TOTALLY WORTH IT! I have friends that pay 100’s (or 1000’s) of dollars per year for similar benefits through toddler gyms.
As with all events and activities listed on this site, please call ahead to be sure that dates, times, cost and availability have not changed (www.greenwood.in.gov 317-881-4545).
