I remember when I was a kid, there were nights when my parents would tell us we were heading out the drive in Movie Theater to watch a movie. I would put on my pajamas and we’d load up the car with snacks, lawn chairs, blankets and I’ll tell you that I don’t remember actually watching the movies…I think I fell asleep in the car on the way there and didn’t wake up again until morning.
The summer that I was on bed rest, the drive in was perfect! My feet could be up, I could lay down and still watch current movies! Even the “normal” movie theatre didn’t offer this luxury! When baby Lulu was a few months old, we would sit and watch two whole movies and she only woke to eat which was totally easy from the comfort of our car. When was the last time it was possible for your family to take an infant to the movies?
This spring and summer, please, please, please take your family to Tibbs Drive in! Memories will be made here and you may never go back to the “normal” way of watching movies! Tibbs opening weekend is Friday, March 22nd and movies start around 8:45pm (dark). For the price of $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 4-12 and kids up to age 3 are free, you can watch 2 movies (sometimes three) while your kids will likely sleep through one of them (2012 prices)! There are generally movies showing for all age groups and what a great price! Don’t forget to bring cash for admission. Credit card is only accepted at the concession stand but cash is required for entrance.
